It was a sign

So I was in a nearby mall’s branch of Fully Booked.

I noticed words on the flooring.

It turned out to be text from Niccolo Machiavelli’s The Prince.

It didn’t hit me until now, but I guess what it tried reminding me is that the end justifies the means.

And vice versa, means justify ends.*
