I know it’s two years and eleven days late, but it just hit me how true that sometimes doing the right thing means breaking your own heart. Swallowing a bitter pill is different from making your own poison and having to drink it slowly.
But learning that you did it out of self-respect is worth all the pain.
So no matter what people say nor think, that’s enough for me.
